Starting today, September 15, 2026, regular Indian passport holders can travel to Thailand for tourism and stay visa-free for up to 30 days.
Prerequisites:
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining from the arrival date.
- Confirmed return flight tickets and hotel bookings.
- At least 20,000 Thai Baht (approx. Rs. 57,500) per person in cash.
- Submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card within 72 hours before travel.
Those planning to stay longer than 30 days must apply for a pre-approved visa through the official Thailand e-Visa Portal.
Indians were eligible for a Visa on Arrival but have been moved into the more favorable 30-day visa exemption category.
Travelers who entered Thailand no later than September 14 will, however, retain the period of stay granted under the previous rules.
